Hi, my name is Ash Forristall, and I am a Customer Service Representative at Point Vicente Animal Hospital. Providing high-quality care and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment is what drives me.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Caring for houseplants takes up much of my time away from work, especially growing and tending a collection of rare and exotic plants in my indoor greenhouse cabinets. Hiking, spending time in nature, and quality time with family and friends fill the rest, along with exploring new places and a particular appreciation for classic cars. At home there is a seven-year-old Golden Retriever named Bear who is truly my constant companion — high-energy, full of personality, and a guarantee that no day is ever dull.
Why I Chose This Profession
Having grown up in the South Bay, animals and veterinary medicine have been a passion of mine since childhood. My adult life has been spent working with animals in many different capacities, and supporting pets, their owners, and families through their veterinary experiences is something I find incredibly meaningful.
Education
My studies were in Veterinary Science at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California.
Work History
From 2011 to 2024 my work was as owner and positive reinforcement trainer at South Bay Dog Walking and Training, specialising in dog-reactive large breeds. From 2024 to 2026 came a role at Bixby Animal Hospital Specialty and Emergency, where my responsibilities spanned Department Lead, Front Office Coordinator, Lead Trainer, and Doctor's Assistant.
