Dr.

Dr. Amy Bednarek, is a Los Angeles native and joined our team at Point Vicente Animal Hospital in September 2013 and became a partner in 2018. After an extensive career in the entertainment business, Dr.

Dr. Dueppen was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She moved to Davis, California for college and graduated with a BS in Animal Science in 2001. She stayed in Davis for veterinary school, graduating in 2006.

Our Hospital Director, Krishna Van Buren, RVT, comes to us with a wealth of experience in veterinary medicine.  Over her career, she has worn many hats.  Krishna got her start over 30 years ago right here in Rancho Palos Verdes, working for Dr. Lauhoff, at the Animal Hospital of Golden Cove which was located in the Golden Cove Shopping Center.  In fact, it is the very space where PVAH got its start after Dr. Lauhoff retired.   While working with Dr. Lauhoff, Krishna was earning her degree in Economics at UC Irvine.  Krishna then returned to school to meet the requirements to sit for the National and State of California Veterinary Technician certification boards.

Janine graduated in 2017 from the University of Pretoria in Cape Town, South Africa with her BVSc degree which is recognized by the South African Veterinary Council for registration as a Veterinarian. Janine moved to California in 2019 when she was married and has 4 cats at home.

Shahzeen has a degree in zoo biology and has been working in the veterinary field since 2008.  She joined our team at Point Vicente Animal Hospital in 2014.  Her favorite thing about working in veterinary medicine is helping animals get better.   She especially enjoys seeing all of the different

Kim is originally from Ohio and went to Ohio State University for Advertising. After taking time off from the corporate world to raise her 3 kids she decided to go back to school and become a registered veterinary technician.

Jessica joined our team in Spring of 2022. She has found her passion in small animal dentistry and exotic animal care.

Kathy graduated from Carrington College in 2016. After graduating Kathy worked in the veterinary field for 5 years at multiple animal hospitals before joining our team in 2021.

Stormie started her carrier at Point Vicente Animal Hospital in Spring of 2023, but has been in the field for 15 years. She is a fear free practicing technician who is comfortable with all kind of critters from dog and cat to your feathered and scaly skin kids.
